Bird Walk
9:00 AM
Bannack State Park
Description:
Thousands of people visit Bannack each year to take a step back in time. This area is rich in history, being the scene of Montana’s first major gold strike and the first territorial capital. There is another side of Bannack that is often overlooked. This is a wonderful place to go birding. Join us on a guided bird walk with park staff to practice bird identification, explore Bannack’s bird habitat, and learn from fellow birders. Open to all bird enthusiasts of any skill level. There will only be one session this summer on June 13th from 9am-11am. Binoculars are provided. Make sure to bring water, snacks, and be prepared for the weather. There is no cost, however there is an $8 parking fee for non-resident vehicles.
